Hoshiarpur / Daljeet Ajnoha/July 9 : Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain chaired the monthly meeting of district revenue officers at the District Administrative Complex today. During the session, she directed tehsildars and naib tehsildars to take recovery-related cases seriously and to prepare a list of defaulters for initiating further action.
While reviewing preparations for the “Easy Registration” portal, DC Jain stated that the new system aims to make the registration process more transparent and user-friendly. She also assessed the progress of the “Mera Ghar Mere Naam” scheme.
Emphasizing the need to expedite work related to khasra-wise mapping and updating of jamabandis, the Deputy Commissioner instructed officials to resolve pending mutation (intkal) cases promptly, with special priority given to pending cases under the Water Resources Department. She also reviewed the work under PLRS (Punjab Land Records Society), stressing the need to complete the digitization of musavis (village maps) at the earliest.
DC Ashika Jain emphasized transparency, timeliness, and accountability in all official functioning. She firmly stated that the revenue system is directly linked to the public, and no negligence will be tolerated in this regard.
Present during the meeting were Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Nikas Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Amarbeer Kaur Bhullar, SDM Hoshiarpur Gursimranjeet Kaur, SDM Dasuya Kanwaljeet Singh, DRO Larson Singla, and other senior officers.
