SDM Holds Detailed Review Meeting

Hoshiarpur / Daljeet Ajnoha/Dec.10 :  Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Hoshiarpur, Gursimranjit Kaur, held a detailed review meeting with officials of the concerned departments today at her office to discuss the preparations for the(zila Parishad )District Council and(Block Samti)Panchayat Committee Elections 2025. She emphasized that conducting the elections smoothly, safely, and transparently is the administration’s top priority and directed all departments to fulfill their responsibilities within the stipulated timeline.The meeting began with a review of the installation process of cameras in the strong rooms and the counting halls. The SDM instructed that high-quality cameras be installed at all locations to ensure enhanced security. Additionally, directives were issued to install CCTV cameras at polling booths to maintain continuous surveillance over the voting process.Officials were also instructed to ensure proper arrangements at the strong rooms and counting halls, uninterrupted power supply at polling centers, and adequate restroom facilities at locations such as JR Polytechnic College, Multi-Skill Development Center Hoshiarpur, and Dallewal College.Further, directives were given to arrange seating for polling parties on December 13, along with availability of refreshments during the day and night of December 13 and on December 14. The SDM also stressed the timely and organized distribution of election materials on December 13 and their receipt on December 14.The preparedness of election kits and secure storage of ballot papers were also thoroughly reviewed. The SDM ordered that all preparations be completed within the prescribed deadlines to ensure a hassle-free election process. Tehsildar Bhim Sain, Naib Tehsildar Hridayveer Singh, Election Kanungo Harpreet Kaur, and other relevant departmental officers were present during the meeting.
