Hoshiarpur / Daljit Ajnoha/Dec.10 : SDM Hoshiarpur, Gursimranjit Kaur, today convened a significant meeting to review various issues related to mining activities within the Hoshiarpur sub-division. Extensive discussions were held on monitoring mining operations, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with regulations.The SDM directed officials to ensure that all mining-related records are maintained accurately and submitted on time. She emphasized that any irregularities or violations of guidelines would be dealt with seriously. Officers and staff from relevant departments were instructed to appear in person with necessary documents to enable effective resolution of challenges.SDM Kaur underscored the importance of transparency and adherence to lawful procedures in all mining works. She stressed that strict surveillance will be maintained over illegal mining activities, with inspections conducted periodically. Officials were urged to prioritize public interest and ensure swift action whenever required.Present officials updated the SDM about departmental operations, ongoing investigations, and essential corrective measures. The SDM advised all departments to maintain close coordination and address pending issues based on their priority.She reiterated that the administration aims to keep mining operations well-organized, transparent, and strictly within the framework of the law to effectively curb illegal activities.
