Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Sept.6 : Seminar Organized by the Disabled Person’s Welfare Committee on Teacher’s Day
On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, the Disabled Persons Welfare Committee, an organization working for the well-being of differently-abled individuals, organized a seminar today. In this regard, the committee president Sandeep Sharma and the seminar coordinator Pooja Vishisht shared the details of the event.
The seminar focused on “Changing Society’s Perspective Towards Teachers of Differently-Abled Children.” Dr. Nirmala Devi, the head of the Sociology Department at Guru Nanak Dev University, was the chief guest at the event.
The seminar was chaired by retired principal Desh Veer Sharma. The program began with the lighting of the lamp, and music teacher Ranjeet Singh sang Saraswati Vandana to mark the occasion.
In their speeches, the guests discussed the attitude of teachers towards differently-abled children. Dr. Nirmala Devi emphasized the importance of granting equal rights, especially the right to equality, to differently-abled individuals and children. Retired Principal Desh Veer Sharma advised teachers to remain vigilant about their duties and provide greater assistance to differently-abled children.
Mrs. Rita Gupta provided knowledge on object science and numerology, raising awareness on these topics. Retired Professor Aruna Shukla began the event with some lines from the Ramayana.
The seminar coordinator, Pooja Vishisht, extended a warm welcome to all the guests. Teachers who performed exceptionally well in schools, including Professor Ranjeet Kumar, Reena Goyal, Sanjeev Bakhshi, Shwani Sharma, Vijay Arora, and Palvi Pandit, were specially honored.
Individuals who performed outstandingly at the seminar, including Seema Sharma, Santosh Vishisht, Omkar Singh, Naveen Sharma, and Pankaj Sharma, were also recognized. Special teachers who work with differently-abled children were honored as well.
The role of stage secretary was carried out excellently by Meenakshi Menon. At the end of the seminar, the president of the society, Sandeep Sharma, expressed his gratitude to all attendees.
The seminar was attended by a large number of teachers from schools and colleges, including Cashier Rajkumar, Neelam Rani, Anju Saini, Hardeep Singh, Pradeep Singh, Harvinder Kalli, Sukhjinder, Gurpreet, Rajeev Kumar, Deepak Sharma, Neha Gupta, Anuradha, Rajdeep, Pawan Kumar, Kuljeet Bangad, and many others.
