Hoshiarpur | Daljeet Ajnoha/July 6 : The birth anniversary of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the founder of the Bharatiya Janata Party, was observed today at the residence of former Chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes and former Punjab BJP President Shri Vijay Sampla. On this occasion, BJP workers paid floral tributes and remembered the great son of Bharat Mata, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.
While addressing the gathering, Shri Vijay Sampla said that Dr. Mukherjee sacrificed his life for the unity and integrity of the nation. Today, Article 370 — a law that promoted separatism in Jammu and Kashmir — has been abolished. The foundation to remove it was laid by Dr. Mukherjee, who famously declared that “Two Prime Ministers, Two Constitutions, and Two Flags will not be tolerated.”
With this vision, he founded the Bharatiya Janata Party — an honest, transparent, and nationalist organization dedicated to serving the country. Today, the BJP is the largest democratic organization in the world, serving the people of India.
Sampla expressed pride in being part of the great organization founded by such a visionary leader. He said it was due to the efforts of the BJP that the outdated permit system for visiting Jammu and Kashmir was abolished, fulfilling Dr. Mukherjee’s call for “One Nation, One Constitution, One Flag.”
It was the BJP government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, that finally abrogated Article 370. As a result, terrorism has largely been eliminated from Jammu and Kashmir, and the region is now on the path of peace and development. The people there are now living in a peaceful environment.
On this day, the grateful nation bows in reverence to the great leader Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on his birth anniversary.
