Hoshiarpur/Nov. 22/Daljeet Ajnoha : Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Komal Mittal said that as per the directions of Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, special camps will be held on 23.11.2024 (Saturday) and 24.11.2024 (Sunday) (except Assembly Constituency 044-Chabbewal) under the revision program of voter list on the basis of eligibility date 01.01.2025.
He said that during these camps, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will be present at the respective polling booths from 10 am to 5 pm and will receive claims and objections from eligible persons as per the eligibility date 01.01.2025. She has instructed the District Education Officer (Secondary and Elementary) and the concerned department heads that the in-charges/administrators of polling booths located in all school/office buildings have been instructed to ensure that the watchman or other responsible employee of the respective buildings is put on duty on the above dates (23.11.2024 and 24.11.2024). She said that it should also be ensured that the polling booth rooms and the main gate remain open. Necessary office furniture should be made available to the Booth Level Officers (BLOs).
