New Delhi/August 18 /Daljeet Ajnoha : Former MP Avinash Rai Khanna held a special meeting with Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal. During the meeting, Khanna had an in-depth discussion with Meghwal regarding the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (B.N.S.).
On this occasion, Khanna said that the Government of India’s decision to replace the Indian Penal Code with the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and thereby accelerate the justice delivery system is a commendable step. He stated that in B.N.S., the definitions of certain crimes have been made clearer and more detailed, which has made it easier to understand and implement the law.
He further emphasized that the provisions related to crimes against women and children have been strengthened so that stricter and more effective action can be taken in such cases. Along with this, cybercrimes and digital crimes have also been included, which are necessary in today’s digital age.
Khanna said that the provisions introduced by the Central Government to simplify and make the investigation and prosecution process of complex crimes more effective will play a vital role in making India’s justice system one of the strongest in the world.
On this occasion, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said that under the strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government is committed to strengthening Indian laws as per the need of the time and to making the justice system simpler and faster.
