In an exclusive conversation with senior journalist Daljeet Ajnoha, the college principal Dr. Parvinder Singh shared insights into the rich legacy and progressive vision of the institution.
He said that the college was established in 1946 through the efforts of Brahmleen Sant Baba Hari Singh Kaharpuri and Late Principal Harbhajan Singh with a noble aim — to offer quality education to the children of the region without any greed or selfish motive. Since its inception, countless students of this college have reached prestigious positions in India and abroad.
Dr. Parvinder Singh stated that the college stands ahead of many other institutions in terms of educational facilities, with highly qualified teachers and professors imparting knowledge across a wide range of subjects. The campus also houses Sant Baba Hari Singh School and a B.Ed. College, both run effectively under the college management.
Currently, the institution is functioning under the leadership of Sant Baba Sadhu Singh Kaharpuri and Chairman Dr. Jung Bahadur Singh Rai, with support from the college management and overseas Indian philanthropists.
