Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/August 27 : The Punjab unit of the Akhil Bharatiya Veer Gurjar (Gujjar) Maha Sabha (Regd.) celebrated the 1209th birth anniversary of the Chakravarti Gurjar (Gujjar) Emperor Mehar Bhoj Mahan and International Gurjar Day with great pomp at the local Girls College, Rattewal (Balachaur). In this state level event, the national executive member of Akhil Bharatiya Veer Gurjar Maha Sabha, Professor Narinder Bhumbla and others started the program by lighting the lamp and shed light on the biography of Samrat Mehar Bhoj ji and said that only those nations that keep their history, culture and sanskrit alive and have love for them progress. He further said that we should take inspiration from their lives. He further said that the Gujjar community has a glorious history and it will be preserved at all costs. On this occasion, a large number of dignitaries, intellectuals, political and social leaders associated with the Gujjar society from all over the region gathered and presented flowers and garlands to the statue of Samrat Mehar Bhoj Mahan. On this occasion, Kabal Singh Chechi General Secretary, Master Gian Kataria Teacher Leader and Master Ravinder Kasana Surapuri also shed light on the life of Emperor Mehar Bhoj Mahan, the stories of bravery done by him, the spirit of patriotism, the kingdom, and congratulated all the countrymen and residents of the area on the birthday of the protector of religion, Gujjar Emperor Mehar Bhoj Mahan and the International Gurjar (Gujjar) Day. On this occasion, Kabal Chechi, Balvir Sarpanch Nighi, Master Gian Kataria, Balram JE Rattewal, Naresh Sarpanch Bagowal, Dharamvir Chechi Malewal, Jaspal Chechi Malewal, Dharamvir Bagowal, Kapoor Chand Dr. Jaswinder Thanwala, Dharminder Bajar, Gurshakti Bagri Mohan Majra, along with a large number of residents of the area were present.
