Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha ,August 23.: The girls’ volleyball teams of Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary Model School, Mall Road, Hoshiarpur, created history by winning three gold medals in the District School Inter-Zonal Championship. The school’s Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 teams all secured the first position — a feat achieved for the first time by any single school in the district championship.
Chairman of the school’s Managing Committee, Anurag Sood, honored the winning players in a special assembly and said that Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary Model School has reached new heights in volleyball. He highlighted that the school’s players have already won medals at the state level and expressed confidence that with hard work and the guidance of their coaches, they will soon secure positions in the national team as well.
He credited the achievement to Principal (Retd.) Malkeet Kumar and Principal (Retd.) Ravi Mehta, who selflessly train the players every day with full dedication. Anurag Sood further expressed hope that, like previous years, most of the school’s volleyball players will represent the district team in the upcoming State-Level Games in September and bring more laurels.
On this occasion, School Secretary Dr. Harshvinder Singh Pathania, Principal Shobha Rani Kanwar, International Volleyball Coach Ashwini Kumar, Manisha Joshi, Vijay Kanwar, and several others were also present.
