Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Feb 11 : Fulfilling the long-standing demand of the people of village Dgham of Garhshankar Assembly constituency for “clean drinking water”, today MLA and Deputy Speaker of Punjab Assembly Jai Krishan Singh Rouri inaugurated the water supply scheme constructed at a cost of Rs 65 lakh and gave a gift to the villagers. Addressing a grand function organized on this occasion, Mr. Rouri said that earlier the people of village Dgham used to bring water from the nearby village Chohra. Due to which supply was not being done in the entire village and keeping in mind the demand of the villagers, clean water will be available to the villagers by starting the new water supply. Rouri said that development works are being done at a fast pace in various villages. Jai Krishan Singh Rouri approved a grant of Rs 10 lakh for Shri Guru Ravidas Dharamshala in village Dgham.
On this occasion Charanjit Singh Channi, Baldeep Singh Sarpanch, Balbir Singh Jassi Sarpanch, Roshan Lal Sarpanch, Deep Kumar Commando, Jujhar Singh Sarpanch, Gulshan Rana Sarpanch, Harmesh Lal, Jaswinder Singh, Parwinder Singh, Amarjit Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Desh Raj SDO Arvind Saini, Saksham Sharma etc were present.
