Hundreds of women participated alongside Rakesh Sood and Sudesh Sampla
Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/August 04 : Today, the 13th grand Teej festival organized by Neeti Talwar witnessed the vibrant participation of hundreds of women dressed in traditional attire, reflecting their deep connection with ancestral heritage.
Addressing the gathering, BJP leader Rakesh Sood said that the Teej festival celebrated annually by Mrs. Talwar is eagerly awaited by the city residents. He emphasized that the way she celebrates this festival in its traditional form helps the younger generations understand and connect with their rich cultural legacy.
Speaking at the event, Mrs. Sudesh Sampla said that although many organizations and institutions celebrate Teej, the heritage-themed exhibition and the authentic traditional way in which Neeti Talwar organizes it sets this celebration apart. It allows the younger generation to reconnect with their roots and ancient customs.
Welcoming all the women, Neeti Talwar said that her family has always strived to celebrate Indian festivals with dignity and deep emotional value. She added that such meaningful celebrations preserve the sanctity of the occasion and provide children an opportunity to learn about Indian traditions. The special dishes prepared on this occasion are also in line with the season and the spirit of the festival.
A heritage exhibition showcasing traditional items was also set up on the occasion. Women performed Giddha to the beat of Dholak, adding joyous energy to the celebration.
Among the prominent participants were Prof. Manju Sood, Priya Saini, Sukhwinder Kaur, Rajni Talwar, Rimpi Wadhawan, Muskan Parashar, social worker Rimpi, Krishna Thapar, Balbir Kaur Mehta, Sarvjeet Kaur, Rozy Wadhawan, and hundreds of other women.
