Vardhman hands over Rs 6.50 lakh cheque to Asha Kiran School
Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Dec 23 : Vardhman Yarn Threads has been consistently supporting JSS Asha Kiran Special School at Jahan Khelan for the welfare of special children. Ashadeep Welfare Society expressed gratitude to the company management. Society patron Parmjeet Singh Sachdeva stated that the company handed over a cheque of Rs 6.50 lakh to the society today, which will be used for development works at the school.
Parmjeet Sachdeva and society president Harbhans Singh said that under the company’s CSR initiatives, two buses have already been provided to the school, along with several other development projects that benefit the special children. They added that the company also organises free medical camps at the school.
While handing over the Rs 6.50 lakh cheque to society members, Christopher Randall, President, Thread Global Elevate Textile USA; Sanjeev Narula, Managing Director, VITL; Inder Mohanjeet Singh Sidhu, President and Director-in-Charge, Vardhman; Neeraj, Director Manufacturing; Tarun Chawla, Director Finance; and Pradeep Dadwal praised the school’s efforts in preparing special children for life ahead. They emphasised that special children deserve opportunities to progress just like others.
The company is also sponsoring fees for students pursuing D.Ed. at JSS Asha Kiran Teachers Training Institute. On the occasion, society secretary Colonel Gurmeet Singh, patron Parmjeet Singh Sachdeva, Malkit Singh Maheru Mastaan Singh Grewal, Harmesh Talwar and school staff were present.
