Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Feb. 7 : Vardhman Yarns & Threads ltd, Hoshiarpur under its CSR initiative has raised an awareness campaign about the importance of wearing Helmets in their ongoing efforts to prioritize public safety and reduce the number of two wheeler accidents on the roads. In this initiate a Road safety awareness and Helmet distribution camp was organized by Vardhman Yarns & Threads ltd, Hoshiarpur in collaboration with dist. Police Hoshiarpur at Mahalpur adda in Hoshiarpur city on 5th February 2025.
Sh.Surinder lamba,SSP, Hoshiarpur has done inauguration of this campaign and he strongly urges all motorcyclist and other two-wheeler’s must wear helmet while driving. He further said two-wheeler should understand the importance of lives of self and others while driving. Reflector jackets and helmets become more important specially while driving two wheeler in night. He further said that people mostly carry helmets in their arms while driving two-wheelers to avoid their vehicle challans rather than understanding the safety aspects. He further said that two wheelers should have proper braking lights with reflectors and should be driven in specified speed limits. One should realize that the lives are precious for them and their families. He further said already Punjab govt has taken initiative on road safety by deploying Road safety forces for any road incidents which reaches in 6-8 minutes at the incident site.
Mr. Tarun Chawla -Director (Fin & Admin) has extended his thanks note to Sh. Surinder lamba,SSP and said that Vardhman in collaboration with Dist. Police Hoshiarpur has taken this imitative of Road safety campaign by distribution of Helmets and reflector jackets to the public in large. He further said that their are two aspects firstly awareness against road safety and secondly to provide the Road safety gadgets like helmets and reflector jackets.As Vardhman has initiated this campaign and will continue for the whole month in association with the district police this gesture of Vardhman will go along way to save the lives of many people on roads.This initiative comes as a part of broader effort to reduce traffic related accidents and fatalities and adhering to all safety guidelines while riding. He further urges two wheeler riders to make safety a priority and together we can help reduce accidents and save lives. On this Occasion Vardhman Officials along with dist police staff were present.
