₹6.5 Crore Project to Transform Hoshiarpur’

Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Oct 25 : In a significant infrastructure push, MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa announced that 23 new roads spanning 38 kilometers will soon be constructed across the Hoshiarpur constituency’s rural areas at a cost of ₹6.5 crore. Addressing a press conference at the Public Works Department rest house in Hoshiarpur, Jimpa said that under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s leadership, development projects in both urban and rural parts of the constituency have gained strong momentum.Jimpa revealed that this project will cover nearly all villages in the constituency, addressing roadworks that had been pending since 2015–16. “Despite the change of two governments, no attention was paid to these projects. Our government took cognizance of the people’s issues and prioritized their resolution,” he stated.Highlighting the key routes included in the construction plan, Jimpa mentioned roads such as Hoshiarpur–Una Road (from Nara to Dallewal Tharoli), Hoshiarpur–Bahadurpur Road to Bassi Gulam Hussain, Bassi Purani to MC Limit, New Abadi Adamwal to Bahadurpur–Bassi Gulam Hussain Link Road, Shergarh Purheira to Dholanwal, Hoshiarpur Bypass Phase-1 to Bajwara, and several other critical village connectors like Bassi Daud Khan to Naru Nangal Purana, Shergarh to Chawni Kalan, and Manan to Patiadi.Jimpa emphasized that once completed, these roads will ease traffic congestion, enhance rural connectivity, and boost economic activities in nearby villages. “Every project will be executed with the highest quality standards, and any kind of negligence will not be tolerated,” the MLA asserted.Expressing gratitude to Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Jimpa said that under his guidance, Punjab’s infrastructural development is reaching new heights.
