Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/June 19 : A 15-day summer volleyball camp for girls was successfully organized at Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary Model School, located on Shimla Pahari Mall Road. A total of 30 players participated in the camp, where they underwent rigorous training under the guidance of coaches Malkiat Singh, Ravi Mehta, and international player and coach Chanchal Singh.
At the closing ceremony, notable personalities including Anurag Sood (President of Vidya Mandir Institute), Manisha Joshi, Kusum Sharma, and Chetna were present. Chief Coach Chanchal Singh expressed that the players worked hard throughout the camp, which helped enhance both their physical strength and mental resilience. He stated that the girls made a strong effort to learn the finer aspects and new techniques of the game. He added that he is confident these players will, as in the past, go on to win medals at the state and national levels, bringing pride to the school and the Hoshiarpur district.
On this occasion, Anurag Sood shared that several former national and international players also visited the camp and provided valuable insights and training to the participants. He emphasized that efforts to encourage the youth to participate in sports will continue in the future.
