Kapurthala/Daljeet Ajnoha /April 18 : To promote sports and inspire the youth towards discipline, fitness, and a positive lifestyle, the 5th Wushu Championship was organized with great enthusiasm at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Kapurthala. The event was given special coverage by senior journalist and writer Dr. Daljeet Ajnoha.
The championship was held under the leadership of Punjab Youth Welfare Board Chairman Mr. Rajeev Kumar Walia, with significant support from the college’s Vice Principal, Dr. Amrik Singh. Throughout the day, players from various age groups showcased their talent and captivated the audience with their excellent martial arts skills.
At the end of the competition, winners were honored with Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals. The organizers encouraged the young athletes and motivated them to aim for excellence at the national and international levels.
On this occasion, senior journalist Dr. Daljeet Ajnoha engaged in a special interaction with the organizers, coaches, and participants. He discussed the importance of Wushu as a traditional sport, the challenges it faces, and its potential for the future. He emphasized that Wushu is not just a sport but also a medium for self-defense, confidence-building, and mental strength.
Addressing the youth, Dr. Ajnoha said, “Sports not only keep the body fit but also develop vital life skills like teamwork, discipline, and leadership.”
