Hoshiarpur/July 25/Daljeet Ajnoha : Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain has told that an important step has been taken by the Punjab Government towards making government services more conveniently available to the common citizens, under which now 30 services of Transport Department and 5 related to Goods Department (Revenue Department) are being provided to the people through service centres He explained that 16 more registration certificates concerning driving licences (R.C.) 14 services related to are now available in service centers, allowing district residents to receive R.T.A. They will not have to visit the office and will be able to avail these facilities only by visiting their nearest service centre.
The Deputy Commissioner said that similarly, the 5 services of the Goods Department which have been added to the service centres include applications for death (on the basis of inheritance or registered deed), applications for admission of reports (such as court orders, bank mortgages or related to loan waiver), applications for rectification of fard, and services like applications for digitally signed fard.
He also informed that citizens who cannot reach the service center due to some reason can avail the benefits of these services sitting at home under the doorstep delivery facility launched by the Punjab Government. For this, citizens will only have to call the helpline number 1076, after which the relevant service will be delivered to their address.
Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain appealed to the people to take maximum advantage of these facilities and avail government services in a simple, transparent and time bound manner.
