Government Should Fulfill Sanitation Workers’

Municipal Councillor of Ward No. 8, Mukhi Ram Ralh, stated that the city’s sanitation workers are on strike over their demands, resulting in widespread filth across the town. He said that the festive season has already begun, but due to the piles of garbage scattered throughout the city, the celebrations may lose their charm.Mukhi Ram emphasized that when processions carrying the sacred form of Lord Hanuman pass through the city streets, the unhygienic conditions will hurt the religious sentiments of devotees. Similarly, during Dussehra festivities, when the divine tableaux of Lord Ram and Lord Lakshman pass through the city, the unclean surroundings will amount to disrespect towards these sacred representations.He urged the government to promptly address the legitimate demands of the sanitation workers so that cleanliness can be restored in the city.
