Interstate Blind T-20 Cricket Tournament

Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha :  The Disabled Persons Welfare Society (Registered), Hoshiarpur has been working for the welfare of differently-abled individuals for a long time. The organization constantly strives to ensure equal rights for persons with disabilities and makes special efforts from time to time to showcase their talents to society.
A meeting of the society was held under the leadership of President Sandeep Sharma and General Secretary Rajkumar. During the meeting, it was decided that four teams will be invited to participate in the upcoming Interstate Blind T-20 Cricket Tournament, scheduled for the month of November. This year, teams from Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh will take part in the tournament.
In the 2024 edition of the tournament, three teams were invited, which included Punjab, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh.
Executive members of the society, Deepak Sharma and Pawan Kumar, informed that many teams were contacted this time, but due to ongoing tournaments in various states, only four teams will be participating.
A total of six matches will be played among the four teams. The team that wins two consecutive matches will qualify for the final match.
All members in the meeting confirmed that arrangements for accommodation and meals for all four teams have been completed.
Lecturer Prabhjot Singh also shared details related to the duty of physical education teachers working in schools. He informed that along with prominent personalities from the city, several well-known figures will also be attending the tournament.
