Second Phase of District-Level Sports

Hoshiarpur/ Oct27 /Daljeet Ajnoha : The second phase of district-level sports competitions in Hoshiarpur district will commence on October 28 at Lajwanti Multipurpose Stadium. The event will be inaugurated at 10 AM.Punjab’s Local Bodies Minister, Dr. Ravjot Singh, will be the chief guest, while Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain will attend as the special guest.Sub-Divisional Education Officer (A) Amandeep Sharma said that teams from all blocks across the district are set to participate. He directed all teachers and staff to ensure their respective teams reach the stadium by 9 AM to facilitate a timely start.Emphasizing punctuality, discipline, and safety, Sharma urged staff members to carry out their assigned duties responsibly. Teachers and team leaders have been instructed to maintain close supervision of students and ensure their safety throughout the event.He added that the competitions offer an excellent opportunity to promote interest and enthusiasm for sports among students and serve as a matter of pride for the education department.Confident of a successful event, Sharma expressed hope that all teachers and players will participate with zeal and sportsmanship. He also confirmed that all necessary arrangements have been completed through joint efforts by the sports, education, and district administration departments to ensure a secure and encouraging environment for the players.
