Miri Piri Cup Football Tournament

Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha /Nov.13 : A key meeting of the Miri Piri Sports Club was recently held under the chairmanship of Jathedar Iqbal Singh Khera at Paddi Sura Singh village in Hoshiarpur district, where detailed discussions were held regarding the organization of the upcoming football tournament for the year 2025–26.It was unanimously decided that the Miri Piri Cup Football Tournament will be organized from December 28, 2025, to January 3, 2026. The tournament will feature 12 club-level teams, 16 village teams, and 8 under-17 academy teams competing for top honors.The event will be held with the support of the local community, including the NRI fraternity from the region, the Gram Panchayat Paddi Sura Singh, Gurdwara Management Committee Ramsar Sahib, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Sports Club, and football enthusiasts from the area.The meeting was attended by several prominent members, including Major Singh Sahota, Sarpanch Jarnail Singh, Lakhvir Singh Rana (Dansiwal), Ashwini (Padarana), Rajwinder Singh Panch, Jasvir Lal Panch, Kulwant Singh Posi, Rakesh Kumar Babbu (Saila Khurd), Ratan Singh, Sukhjinder Singh Khalsa (President, Co-operative Bank), Harvinder Singh Poonia (Vice President, Co-operative Bank), Jagmohan Singh (Haveli), Paramjit Singh Pamma (Bahowal), Amarjit Singh Raja (Jangliwal), Ranjodh Singh (Nadalon), Sheen Parmar (Nadalon), Sarabjit Singh Sahota, Kulwant Singh Kanta Panch, Sukhwinder Singh Gill, Rajwinder Singh, Rakesh, Mukesh Kumar, and Harmesh Lal Maishi, among others.
