Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Jan.14 : Rayat Bahra Professional University celebrated the Lohri festival with great enthusiasm and cultural spirit at its open-air theatre. The event reflected the rich traditions of Punjabi culture and witnessed active participation from students, faculty members, and staff.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the traditional Lohri bonfire by the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Dr.Chander Mohan. On this occasion, various cultural performances were presented by students, adding colour and vibrancy to the celebrations.
Extending Lohri greetings to all present, Dr. Chander Mohan highlighted the importance of providing equal rights and opportunities to girls. He stated that when given the right platform, girls can play a significant role in the progress of society and the nation.
At the conclusion of the programme, traditional Lohri delicacies including peanuts, rewari, and gajak were distributed among all attendees. Deans, faculty members, and a large number of students were present on the occasion.
