Quarterly Inspection Conducted at Hoshiarpur

Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Mar.25 : Following directives from the Election Commission of India and under the leadership of District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain, a quarterly inspection of the district-level EVM warehouse in Hoshiarpur was carried out today. The check included opening the facility to assess internal conditions for March 2026. Assistant Commissioner Parampreet Singh was specially present on the occasion.
The inspection process involved scrutiny of all relevant records, logbooks, and entry registers to ensure transparency.
Assistant Commissioner Parampreet Singh stated that the quarterly inspection of the EVM warehouse is a regular and essential procedure. Its aim is to maintain the fairness, security, and transparency of the electoral process. He expressed satisfaction that the warehouse arrangements in the district were found to meet the highest standards.
Representatives of political parties present remarked that this initiative by the Election Commission strengthens public trust in the democratic process and helps dispel misconceptions about the impartiality of the machines.
Those present included Rajnish Tandon from the Indian National Congress, Bhushan Kumar Sharma from the BJP, Jaspal Singh from the Aam Aadmi Party, along with EVM nodal officer Balwinder Singh, Tehsildar (Elections) Harminder Singh, election naib tehsildar Deepak Kumar, and Lakhvir Singh.
