Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/May 20 : Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Nikas Kumar today chaired a review meeting at the district administrative complex to take stock of the progress of various programmes and development works being implemented across departments. He held detailed discussions with department officers, with special focus on revenue-related issues, schemes and pending cases, and directed that all tasks be completed in a time-bound and transparent manner.
Kumar sought updates on the current status of land-mapping, the ‘Mera Ghar Mere Naam’ campaign, e-registration and e-jambandi schemes. He conducted a detailed review of recoveries related to stamp duty and registration and instructed officers to expedite collection of outstanding land revenue dues. He emphasised simplifying and streamlining revenue services to make them more accessible and transparent for the public, so citizens do not face unnecessary hardship.
The ADC also reviewed ongoing cases related to land acquisition, khasra-wise mapping, timely submission of utilization certificates (UCs) for civil works, and complaints of illegal mining. He directed that all matters be resolved within prescribed timeframes.
Officials also discussed the census, flood protection works, Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme, SIR (State Investment Region) and the Jal Shakti Abhiyan in detail. Progress of development works being carried out under the District Mineral Foundation was examined as well. Kumar instructed officers to ensure these projects are completed on schedule and to quality standards so that the public derives maximum benefit.
