Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/May 20 : Under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain, the district-wide dengue prevention campaign is being carried out continuously. As part of the drive, dengue awareness volunteers in Hoshiarpur are conducting door-to-door surveys to inform residents about dengue prevention, encourage cleanliness, and eliminate mosquito breeding sites.
During the survey, volunteers inspect household water tanks, coolers, refrigerator drip trays, flower pots and other spots where water can collect and Aedes mosquitoes can breed. Residents are also urged to observe a weekly “dry day,” avoid water accumulation and maintain cleanliness in their surroundings.
Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain appealed to district residents, saying public cooperation is essential to prevent dengue. She urged people to ensure no water stagnates in and around their homes and to support the health department and administration’s ongoing efforts.
Ashika Jain emphasised that awareness and vigilance are the most effective measures to prevent dengue, and said the campaign will continue without interruption.
