Akali leader Rinku joins BJP,

Hoshiarpur /Daljeet Ajnoha/May 22 :  Senior Akali leader Harminder Singh “Rinku” Chandpuri resigned from the Shiromani Akali Dal and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday. He was welcomed into the party by BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh, former national vice-president Avinash Rai Khanna and former state minister Tikshan Sood.
Khanna said Rinku’s induction would strengthen the BJP. He added that the party rewards every worker for their efforts and accords them full respect. Khanna expressed confidence that Rinku would carry out the responsibilities assigned to him with honesty and dedication, and would contribute to improving the party’s performance in the upcoming municipal elections. Several senior BJP workers were present on the occasion.
