Hoshiarpur / Daljeet Ajnoha/June 09 : The annual three-day Jor mela at the shrine of Maa Bhulli Ghumari in Panchat village, under Tehsil Phagwara, will be held from June 10 to 12 under the leadership of Dera gaddi nashin Mahant J.B. Shah. Speaking about the event, Mahant J.B. Shah said the Mela is being organised with great devotion and love with the support of the dera’s devotees
He outlined the schedule: on the first day, at 5 p.m., the traditional chirag and mehndi ceremonies will be performed. The second day will feature the flag ceremony. On Friday, June 12, the final day of the Mela a night-long mehfil will be held from 8 p.m. until 4 a.m. Qawal Kuldeep Ruhani will perform qawalis, while Lovely Naqal & Party from Nawanshahr and Bhatti Naqal & Party from Mandhali Sharif will present colourful programmes.
Mahant Shah added that tea, pakoras and langar services will be provided continuously throughout the Mela. After the conclusion of the event, the berra taran (river-crossing ritual) will be observed on Sunday, June 14.
