Hoshiarpur /Daljeet Ajnoha/June 22 : Under the directions of Justice Rajinder Agrawal, District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), and following guidance from the Punjab State Legal Services Authority and the Punjab and Haryana High Court, the District Legal Services Authority, Hoshiarpur, enthusiastically observed the 12th International Yoga Day at district and sub-division levels, including Dasuya, Mukerian and Garhshankar.
Additional District & Sessions Judge Dr. Mandeep Mittal, Chief Judicial Magistrate Ajaypal Singh and Civil Judge (Junior Division) Harjinder Kaur addressed attendees, emphasizing that yoga is not merely physical exercise but a means to attain mental, physical and spiritual balance. They noted that yoga originated in India and urged everyone to incorporate it into their daily lives.
Yoga instructor Jatin Sharma (Art of Living, Hoshiarpur) briefed participants on the importance of regular practice, explaining that consistent yoga helps maintain physical health and reduces stress. Participants were guided through various practices including kapalbhati, pranayama, anulom-vilom and meditation, along with several asanas.
The programme at the District and Sessions Court premises in Hoshiarpur was attended by Additional District & Sessions Judge Dr. Mandeep Mittal, Chief Judicial Magistrate Ajaypal Singh and Civil Judge (Junior Division) Harjinder Kaur, as well as panel advocates, para-legal volunteers, DLSA staff, judicial employees and other members of the bar.
Similar events were also held at the sub-division level in Dasuya, Mukerian and Garhshankar, where judicial officers, staff and advocates participated to promote a healthy lifestyle through yoga.
