Hoshiarpur / Daljeet Ajnoha/July 2 ; Sant Ramesh Das, Propagation Secretary of the Guru Ravidas Sadhu Sampraday Society, Punjab, and current incumbent of the seat of Dera 108 Sant Baba Narayan Das Kalran-Sherpur Dhakkon, has returned to the dera after an overseas trip to promote the hymns and teachings of Satguru Ravidas Maharaj. Residents and devotees from the town and surrounding areas gave him a warm and heartfelt reception. A large number of devotees lined up to pay their respects and meet him.
Speaking to the gathering, Sant Ramesh Das said that during his visit to New Zealand he conducted several satsangs to connect devotees with the teachings. He observed that devotees living abroad hold deep reverence for the hymns of Satguru Ravidas Maharaj and for the mission of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He added that overseas devotees are taking initiatives to make education in Punjab more accessible, pure, and affordable, and are contributing actively to increase the number of educated children.
Sant Ramesh Das also announced that the dera will observe the 17th death anniversary of the late Sant Amardas (Sachkhand Vasi), the 5th death anniversary of Sant Ram Kishan, and the 24th death anniversary of Sant BB Jwali Ram on 17 July at Dera Kalran-Sherpur Dhakaon. With support from devotees in India and abroad, the events will be marked with deep devotion. The Guru Ravidas Sadhu Sampraday Society, Punjab, along with various deras and sects, will present kirtan and discourses by revered saints to celebrate the occasion. He urged devotees from across the country and abroad to attend in large numbers.
