Youngsters’ Fitness Event Boosts School

Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/July 7 : A fitness and sports event for young children was held at Nanhe Munne Playway School in Kapurthala under the leadership of coach Sukhdeep Singh Bajwa. The program was organized by Emanuel Sports Club in collaboration with the Youth Sports Welfare Board.
The event saw participation from all students of the school. Rajiv Walia, president of the Youth Sports Welfare Board, attended as the chief guest. He was welcomed and thanked by the school’s headmistress Deepa Sethi, and staff members Gaurav Sethi, Chanchal Momi, and coach Sukhdeep Singh Bajwa.
Addressing the gathering, Rajiv Walia stressed that children, whether young or old, should take part in sports. He said participation promotes physical development, relieves mental stress, and helps children concentrate better on their studies. Walia presented certificates to participating children to honour them and to boost their morale.
On the occasion, headmistress Deepa Sethi praised Rajiv Walia and his team for their efforts to steer youth away from substance abuse, saying that these initiatives are encouraging more young people to engage in sports. All school staff members presented a memento to Youth Sports Welfare Board president Rajiv Walia in appreciation.
