Hoshiarpur/July 26/Daljeet Ajnoha : On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Hoshiarpur, paid heartfelt tributes and offered obeisance to the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice while defending the nation’s sovereignty during the Kargil War. A tribute programme was organized at the War Memorial, Hoshiarpur, where ABVP karyakartas remembered the unparalleled courage, patriotism, and dedication of the Indian Armed Forces.
The programme was attended by ABVP Punjab State Joint Secretary Ankit Kundra, City President Arvind Sharma, City Joint Secretary Ritish Sharma, City SFS Convenor Gopal, and several other ABVP karyakartas.
Speaking on the occasion, State Joint Secretary Ankit Kundra said that Kargil Vijay Diwas is not merely a day of remembrance but a reminder of the unwavering courage, determination, and selfless sacrifice of India’s brave soldiers. He said that the victory achieved in the Kargil War was a result of the unmatched valour and commitment of the Indian Army, which safeguarded the nation’s integrity even under the most challenging circumstances.
He further stated that the youth of the country must draw inspiration from the lives of the Kargil heroes and dedicate themselves to nation-building with a spirit of discipline, service, and patriotism. He emphasized that the sacrifices of the martyrs can never be forgotten and that every citizen has a responsibility to uphold the values for which they laid down their lives.
During the programme, floral tributes were offered at the War Memorial, and all those present observed a two-minute silence in honour of the brave martyrs. The karyakartas reaffirmed their commitment to serving the nation and preserving the legacy of the country’s heroes through their dedicated efforts.
