Tournament will be held in Pandicheri from 5th March to 13th March
Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Feb.22 : The selection of HDCA Hoshiarpur Center’s Surabhi and Anjali in Punjab Under-23 team, there is an atmosphere of happiness in entire Hoshiarpur. Giving information in this regard, HDCA Secretary Dr. Raman Ghai said that there is happiness among the cricket players of Hoshiarpur and HDCA with the selection of Surabhi, a 10th class student of Woodland Overseas School and Anjali Seemar, a BA-1 student of Government College, in Punjab team. Dr. Ghai said that apart from Anjali and Surabhi, Shivani of Hoshiarpur has also got a place in Punjab Under-23 standby. He told that both these players of Hoshiarpur have also played in Punjab Under-19 team before this. He informed that the Punjab team will leave from PCA Mohali on March 3 to participate in the BCCI tournament in Pondicherry from March 5 to March 13. Expressing happiness over the selection of Anjali and Surabhi, Dr. Ghai said that along with the entire Hoshiarpur district, HDCA is also proud of these players. He said that with the hard work and dedication with which Anjali, Surabhi, Shivani, Pooja, Aastha, Vanshika, Nirankar and Dhruvika of HDCA have been performing well for the last few years and staking their claim in the Punjab women’s team, in the coming years, soon some female player from Hoshiarpur will make her place in the national team. He informed that the selected Punjab Under-23 team will take training under the leadership of chief coach Madhu Kapoor in the practice camp at PCA Stadium Mohali from February 23 to March 2.
On the selection of Anjali and Surabhi in the Punjab Under-23 team, HDCA President Dr. Daljit Khela congratulated the players on behalf of the HDCA group and said that with the hard work with which Surabhi and Anjali are leading Punjab, they will soon make their place at the international level in the future. Anjali and Surabhi’s coach Davinder Kalyan, trainer Kuldeep Dhami, senior coach Daljit Singh, coach Madan Dadwal, coach Daljit Dhiman and Dinesh Sharma also congratulated the players for their selection.
