Akali Leaders Honour DSP Palwinder

Phagwara/Daljeet Ajnoha/May1 : Leaders from the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Viapar Wing met DSP Palwinder Singh and honoured him for his exemplary service.
On this occasion, SAD Viapar Wing’s Punjab General Secretary Dharminder Kumar Tony, District President Sukhbir Singh Kinra and Industrial Wing District President Harvinder Singh Lovely Walia jointly praised DSP Palwinder Singh as an honest and brave officer. They noted that he has rendered outstanding service in various police stations across multiple districts in the past. Dharminder Tony stated that every SAD worker will actively support police campaigns against anti-social elements.
DSP Palwinder Singh urged the public to help those addicted to drugs by getting them treatment at de-addiction centres out of humanity. He appealed: “If anyone consumes or sells drugs, inform the police—the informer’s identity will remain confidential. Drugs are more dangerous than terrorism. We must eradicate this evil through mutual cooperation.”
Tony highlighted how drugs are pushing the youth towards ruin, emphasizing that young people must stay away from narcotics for a better life. He warned that rising drug addiction in schools and colleges is taking a serious toll, hollowing out the youth from within. Parents and teachers must take concrete steps to free youth from this scourge. “Youth often stray early due to bad company, leading to devastating diseases and ruined lives. Drug addiction adversely affects the future of youth and their families. Punjab’s youth must contribute to fighting drug abuse and narcotics,” he added.
