Hoshiarpur / Daljeet Ajnoha/May 2 : To support the education of underprivileged and talented students of DAV Senior Secondary School, Hoshiarpur, Suman Memorial Society provided them with books, writing material, and school uniforms.
During a function held under the leadership of Dr. Anoop Kumar, President of DAV College Managing Committee, and Secretary Prof. R.M. Bhalla, Dr. K.K. Sharma, President of the Society, distributed books, notebooks, and writing material to the students.
Also present on the occasion were Principal Gautam Mehta, member of the DAV College Managing Committee; Dr. Arvind Parashar, Secretary of the Society; and Rajvinder Kaur, the Society’s Treasurer.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Anoop emphasized that education is the most effective tool for bringing change and improvement in life.
Dr. K.K. Sharma shared that since 1989, their organization has been supporting the education of meritorious students from economically weaker sections. With inspiration from Dr. Anoop Kumar, the Society has been supporting the education of needy students of DAV Senior Secondary School Hoshiarpur for the past five years.
On this occasion, the Society provided 1,500 notebooks, stationery, and books to the school students. Additionally, a cheque of ₹10,000 was handed over to Principal Rajesh Kumar to cover other education-related expenses. Two students who performed exceptionally well among the sponsored children were awarded a cash prize of ₹1,100 each.
Prof. Dr. Arvind Parashar, Secretary of the Society, highlighted the importance of education and encouraged students to strive for excellence in life.
Principal Rajesh Kumar expressed his gratitude to the Society, stating that their support for the education of bright and underprivileged students is commendable. He thanked Dr. K.K. Sharma and the Society and hoped that their cooperation would continue in the future as well.
