Chandigarh / November 9/Daljeet Ajnoha : As part of the ongoing *British Army India Heritage Visit 2025*, a 12-member delegation from the British Army attended the **Military Literature Festival** held in Chandigarh. The visit highlights the deep and enduring bonds between the Armed Forces of **India and the United Kingdom**, built on a foundation of shared military history, mutual respect, and professional collaboration.
The delegation was led by **Major Munish Chauhan**, a **surgeon in the British Army** and **Project Officer for the India Heritage Visit 2025**, who emphasised the importance of such engagements in fostering professional growth and strengthening defence relationships.
Speaking at the event, **Major Chauhan** said, *“The Military Literature Festival is not only a celebration of courage and history, but also a platform to reflect on leadership, resilience, and the shared values that unite soldiers across nations. It is a privilege for us to be part of this gathering that honours those who served with distinction and those who continue to serve with dedication.”*
The **British Army delegation** expressed that their participation in the festival provided an excellent opportunity for **professional military development**, as well as an avenue to learn from India’s rich military traditions, operational experiences, and scholarly thought.
*“The United Kingdom and India share a long-standing military relationship,”* said a delegation spokesperson. *“We continue to work together across multiple areas of cooperation, including defence education, leadership development, and cultural exchange. This visit is another step in reinforcing those bonds.”*
