Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/August 19 : On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Cabinet Minister Punjab Bram Shankar Jimpa visited the Border Security Force (BSF) training camp at Kharkan in Hoshiarpur. During this, women soldiers of BSF tied Rakhi to the Cabinet Minister and this festival, a symbol of brotherhood, was celebrated with full enthusiasm and devotion. During this, the Cabinet Minister wished Raksha Bandhan to all the soldiers and expressed gratitude towards their sacrifice and service. During this, Mayor Surinder Kumar and BSF officer LK Meena and other dignitaries were also present with him.
After getting the Rakhi tied, Cabinet Minister Jimpa said that BSF is discharging its duties for the defense and security of the country. He said that it is because of the hard work and dedication of these soldiers that all of us citizens are safe in our homes. This festival of Raksha Bandhan strengthens the relationship between brothers and sisters, and it is a matter of pride for me to get a Rakhi tied by these brave sisters here today.
Wishing all the soldiers on Raksha Bandhan, the Cabinet Minister said that the importance of this festival is not only between brothers and sisters, but also to promote unity and love in the society. He said that the BSF soldiers, who protect the borders, are our real brothers and protectors, and celebrating Raksha Bandhan with them reveals the true spirit of this festival.
Bram Shankar Jimpa also listened to the experiences of the soldiers during his interaction with them and inquired about their problems. He assured that the Punjab Government is ready to provide all possible assistance to the BSF soldiers and will take all necessary steps for their betterment. On this occasion, he presented gifts to the women soldiers and made this day even more special by celebrating the festival of Raksha Bandhan with them. He said that our soldiers posted at the border are our real heroes, and spending such time with them is not only a matter of pride but it also makes us realize our responsibilities towards them.
The officers of BSF Kharkan Camp also appreciated the arrival of the Cabinet Minister on this occasion and said that it is an honor for us to celebrate Raksha Bandhan with him. They assured that they will continue to perform their duties in the security of the country with full honesty and integrity. Councilors Dripan Saini, Ruby Tuli were also present on this occasion.
