Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Oct.17 :
Delivering an inspiring message at the Government Middle School Bharta Ganeshpur, renowned literary figure Baljinder Maan encouraged students to celebrate Diwali with books instead of fireworks. He emphasized that spending on books rather than firecrackers is an effective way to avoid the noise and pollution associated with the festival. “Books not only entertain and enlighten us, but also carry valuable information about Diwali, Dussehra, Lohri, and many other festivals,” he said. “Often, we fail to build a friendship with books and miss out on their joy. This Diwali, gift a book to children and embrace their world of wisdom.”On the occasion, Chief Editor Baljinder Maan distributed books to students on behalf of Nikkian Karumblan Publications.
School Principal Satveer Kaur highlighted the benefits of such motivational events and lauded Sur Sangam Educational Trust for their commendable efforts to promote Punjabi language and moral values among children, especially their initiative to revive book culture. At the conclusion of the programme, Manjinder Singh extended a vote of thanks.
