No inconvenience to patients : Dr Mandeep Kamal, Civil Surgeon
Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Mar.5 : Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur, Dr Mandeep Kamal, conducted a surprise inspection of the Civil Hospital and reviewed health facilities. Accompanying him were Senior Medical Officer Hoshiarpur Dr Navjot Singh, Dr Neha Pal, District Family Welfare Officer Dr Ranjit Singh, Tarsem Lal, District Cluster Education and Information Officer, Ravinder Jassal, Deputy Mass Media Officer, and Madam Asha (stenographer).During the visit, he checked medicines, oxygen and other facilities being provided to patients in the emergency ward. He also inspected the laboratory, X-ray department, scanning room, ICTC centre, physiotherapy department, pharmacy, maternity and child ward, ART centre, OPD services, wards, vaccination services, power backup, hospital manpower, cleanliness and dialysis unit. He also interacted with patients about the health services provided by the hospital.Directing officials, the Civil Surgeon said special attention must be paid to cleanliness in the health institution, and patients should face no difficulty in accessing medicines and lab tests. He specifically instructed all doctors to raise awareness among patients about various diseases.He reviewed arrangements made for patient treatment and facilities, and motivated the entire staff to work more effectively.He emphasised that patients should receive all government facilities. Special care must be taken for the elderly, young children and pregnant women, with proper seating arrangements and sufficient clean drinking water.While inspecting the pharmacy, he directed that free medicines be provided to patients. He added that stocks should be replenished in advance to prevent any inconvenience.
