Hoshiarpur/ Sept.23/Daljeet Ajnoha : In a major step towards strengthening rural infrastructure and connectivity, S. Jai Krishan Singh Rouri, Deputy Speaker, Punjab Legislative Assembly and MLA , Garhshankar constituency, today inaugurated a series of newly constructed and upgraded roads across Garhshankar and adjoining areas.
The key roads inaugurated include Bora to Thana Road, Kullewal to Bagwain Road, Ghagon Guru to Mukandpur Road to Chak Phullu Road to Sahungra Road, Nawanshahr Road to Rasulpur Basiala, Chaura Road to Bhin Road (SBS Nagar), Kalewal Lallian Road to Khabra Road, Mahilpur to Khabra Road, Mahilpur Road to Badoan, Sardoolpur, and Paldi Road
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Speaker Rouri said that today marks the beginning of a new era of development in Garhshankar. In the coming days, people will see many more development works becoming a reality. He emphasized that, as per the commitments of S.Bhagwant Singh Mann, Chief Minister,Punjab s the government is dedicated to the overall development of every sector. He stressed that better road connectivity is the foundation of holistic development, as it enhances economic opportunities, improves access to healthcare and education, and reduces travel hardships for rural residents.The people of the constituency warmly welcomed these development initiatives and thanked their MLA for fulfilling his promises and ensuring continuous progress in the region. Many locals described the newly inaugurated roads as lifelines that will ease travel, facilitate trade, and strengthen village to village connectivity.
Through this initiative, the Punjab Government has once again reiterated its commitment to development for all, ensuring that the pace of progress reaches every corner of the state. On this occasion, Deputy Speaker Rouri, along with all village Panchayats and residents, extended gratitude to the Hon’ble Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann.
