Dharminder Elected Unopposed as Health

Hoshiarpur /Mar. 11/  Daljeet Ajnoha : The Punjab State Ministerial Services Union conducted unanimous elections for the clerical staff union in the district’s health department.District President of the Punjab State Ministerial Services Union, Hoshiarpur, Anirudh Modgill, and Press Secretary Gurvinder Shane, in a joint statement, announced the new team following the retirement of former Health Department President Navdeep Singh. Dharminder has been elected president, Sanjeev Kumar as general secretary, Sandeep Kumar as assistant secretary, Davinder Bhatti as senior vice-president, Satpal as press secretary, Paramjit Kaur as cashier, Ketan Krishan as chief advisor, and Shivratan and Ravinderjit Singh as finance secretaries. Executive members include Rupinder Jeet Kaur, Asha Rani, Ridhu Bala, Palwinder Kaur, Rani Manpreet Kaur, Baban, and Mandeep Pal.Newly appointed District President Dharminder stated that the union will promptly implement all calls from the Punjab State Ministerial Services Union in the health department. He highlighted key employee grievances: Punjab government employees are receiving 16% dearness allowance (DA), lower than central rates, amid rising inflation. While a notification for restoring the old pension scheme has been issued, it remains unimplemented. Under a January 15, 2015, directive, probationary employees receive only basic pay, making it difficult to make ends meet.Dharminder accused the Punjab government of reneging on election promises to employees. He appealed to Punjab’s employee organizations to unite on a single platform and prepare for upcoming challenges through collective struggle.
