Dr. Bhupendra on Adopting Vastu

Renowned Vastu expert and author Dr. Bhupendra Vastu Shastri has emphasized the close relationship between Vastu and the practice of yoga, saying that correct home architecture can significantly affect one’s ability to maintain a regular yoga or exercise routine. According to Dr. Bhupendra, the internal energy flow created by a building’s layout influences the mind and body; when that energy is balanced, practitioners experience greater vigour and discipline.
Dr. Bhupendra advised that to remain fit, healthy and attractive, homeowners should pay special attention to the northeast (Ishan) sector and the southeast (Agneya) corner, and ensure the southern areas of the house are free from Vastu defects. He warned that faults in the west can increase lethargy and act as an obstacle to pursuing yoga. Only when directional faults are corrected, he said, can individuals overcome laziness and commit regularly to exercise and yoga.
As an additional guideline, Dr. Bhupendra suggested that while practising yoga or exercise, facing east or north helps harness natural energy more effectively.
