Anti Drug Campaign Shows Strong Impact in Mehtiana, Ahead of Festive Season Security Checks

He appealed to residents to always provide accurate and fact-based information to the police so that legal actions can proceed without hindrance.Speaking on the Punjab Government’s “War Against Drugs” campaign, the DSP said that the initiative has had a significant impact in the area due to joint efforts by the police and the local community. Locations once known as drug hubs have seen active participation from residents, local leaders, and village panchayats in supporting police action against drugs. Many have expressed appreciation and gratitude towards police officials for their efforts.DSP Singh urged people to inform the police about any kind of crime, drugs, or anti-social elements, assuring that their identities would be kept strictly confidential. He cautioned against providing false information out of personal enmity, as recent cases have shown that misinformation can lead to unnecessary complications. “Such actions should be avoided to ensure effective policing and justice,” he said.He further informed that in view of the upcoming festive season, continuous security checks are being conducted across the region, with a sharp focus on anti-social elements, drug traffickers, and addicts. Singh emphasized his commitment to conducting ground-level investigations into complaints to ensure no innocent person suffers due to incorrect information.
