Hoshiarpur / Daljeet Ajnoha/June 11 : Under-19 Women’s Inter-District Cricket Tournament organized by Punjab Cricket Association, the team defeated Kapurthala team by 8 wickets due to the all-round performance of Captain Surabhi. Giving information in this regard, HDCA Secretary Dr. Raman Ghai said that in the 50-50 overs match played in Ropar, the Kapurthala team won the toss and decided to bat first. Which proved fatal for them. Due to the excellent bowling of the Hoshiarpur team, the entire Kapurthala team could score only 60 runs in 25.2 overs. In which only Veshnavi Dhiman scored 12 runs, no other player could even reach double digits. Bowling brilliantly for Hoshiarpur, Dhruvika Seth took 4 wickets for 17 runs, Vanshika took 3 wickets for 14 runs, Captain Surabhi took 2 wickets for 6 runs and Annaya Thakur dismissed 1 player. Hoshiarpur team, which came to bat with a target of 61 runs for victory, won the match by 8 wickets by scoring 61 runs at the loss of 2 wickets in 15.3 overs with the help of Captain Surabhi’s 15 runs and Pratika’s 12 runs. Dr. Raman Ghai expressed happiness on this victory of Hoshiarpur and said that the Hoshiarpur team has worked hard and he hopes that the team will perform brilliantly in the future too. On this big victory of Hoshiarpur team, HDCA President Dr. Daljit Khela, Chairman Tournament Committee Dr. Pankaj Shiv, Joint Secretary Vivek Sahni and all the association officials congratulated the team.
