Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/April 10 : Lamrin Tech Skills University, Punjab, in collaboration with Rayat College of Education, organized an interactive session on the theme “Learning to Lead, Skilling to Succeed.”

Mr.Manish Sisodia, former Education Minister of Delhi and widely regarded as a pioneer of educational reforms in Delhi , graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his address, Mr. Sisodia emphasized the urgent need to transform the mindset of both existing and aspiring educators. He stated that the purpose of education should not merely be to prepare individuals to work for others, but to empower learners to become self-reliant and actively shape their own development journeys.
He further remarked that India’s transition from a developing to a developed nation will not be driven solely by an industrial revolution, but by an education revolution—one that must be led by the youth of the country.
Delivering an inspiring and thought-provoking address, Mr. Sisodia highlighted the importance of leadership, innovation, and skill-based education. He encouraged students to cultivate critical thinking, adaptability, and a strong sense of responsibility in order to emerge as effective leaders in an increasingly dynamic world.
The session was thoughtfully designed to equip students with essential leadership qualities and practical competencies required to succeed in today’s competitive environment. The interactive format included stimulating discussions, real-life examples, and motivational insights, prompting participants to reflect deeply on their personal and professional growth.
Expressing his gratitude to Mr. Sisodia for his valuable insights, Sh. Nirmal Singh Rayat, Chancellor of Lamrin Tech Skills University and Chairman of RERT, reiterated the institution’s unwavering commitment to advancing quality education. He affirmed that the university will continue to strive to meet the aspirations of communities both within and beyond the region. He also underscored the importance of sensitizing the teaching fraternity to effectively prepare future educators to lead this educational transformation, and invited Mr. Sisodia to conduct a similar session for the broader teaching community in the near future.
The session was attended by Prof. B. S. Satyal (Registrar), Mr. Deepinder Singh (OSD to the Education Minister, Punjab), Mr. Vimal Roy Manhotra (CEO), along with Deans of various departments and faculty members of the College of Education, adding to the significance of the event.
Dr. Rajinder Kaur Gill, Officiating Principal of Rayat College of Education, and Prof. H. P. S. Dhami, Executive Dean of the University School of Engineering, proposed the vote of thanks.
