Guru Tegh Bahadur’s 350th

Hoshiarpur/ Nov 24/ Daljeet Ajnoha : Marking the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the Punjabi Sahit Sabha, in collaboration with the District Language Office, organised a commemorative event at the Digital Library Complex, Hoshiarpur. The gathering, held under the banner of Punjabi Month celebrations, was presided over by Sabha President Jasbir Singh Dhiman.Extending a warm welcome to writers and literature enthusiasts, General Secretary Dr. Jaswant Rai outlined the day’s proceedings. Speaking on the occasion, Sabha Patron Dr. Karamjit Singh described Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji as a beacon of humanitarian thought and moral courage. He said the Guru’s philosophy of fearlessness, compassion, and equanimity continues to guide humanity, tracing its origins from Guru Nanak Dev Ji to Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who dedicated his life to faith and service.Scholars including Dr. Sukhdev Dhillon, Principal Gurdial Singh Phull, and Dr. Jaswant Rai discussed the spiritual and literary depth of Guru Ji’s teachings and their relevance in the modern era.The event’s second session featured recitations of literary and religious works, enriching the audience with spiritual reflection. On the same occasion, the Sabha released Roadmap, the fifth novel by noted author Dr. Darshan Singh Darshan. Introducing the book, Dr. Jaswant Rai said Roadmap encourages diaspora youth to link ancestral vocations with modern technology to create livelihoods while remaining connected to their roots.The Sabha extended felicitations to Dr. Darshan Singh. President Jasbir Singh Dhiman presented the vote of thanks, offering thoughtful remarks on the presented literary works. The event was attended by prominent literary figures including Satish Kumar, Tripta K. Singh, Dr. Shamsher Mohi, Madan Veera, Hardiyal Hoshiarpuri, Kultar Singh Kultar, Teerath Chand Saroa, Raj Kumar Ghasipuria, Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Ravinder Sharma, and Prinkle Jassal. The programme was anchored by Dr. Jaswant Rai.
