Hoshiarpur / Daljeet Ajnoha/Oct 4 : In the ongoing Inter-District Under-15 Women’s Cricket Tournament being organized by the Punjab Cricket Association, the Hoshiarpur team defeated Kapurthala by 4 runs to secure four crucial points. Providing information about the match, HDCA Secretary Dr. Raman Ghai informed that the 35-over match was played in Hoshiarpur. Winning the toss, Kapurthala opted to bowl first.Batting first, Hoshiarpur scored 111 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 35 overs. Vice-Captain Annaya Thakur played an outstanding unbeaten knock of 50 runs. Other key contributors included Mahika Thakur (17), Dhruvika Seth (14), and Pratika (12). For Kapurthala, Pawanjor claimed four wickets.Chasing the target of 112 runs, Kapurthala’s team was all out for 107 runs in 32.1 overs. Sukhmanleen Kaur top-scored with 64. Hoshiarpur bowlers performed impressively — Kashvi Rana and Captain Dhruvika Seth took two wickets each, while Annaya Thakur, Soni Kumari, Anshika, and Bhumika Sharma took one wicket apiece, guiding Hoshiarpur to a close 4-run victory.PCA women’s selector Gurdeep Minhas was present on the ground to observe the players’ performance. Congratulating the team on their win, HDCA President Dr. Daljit Khehra extended best wishes for their upcoming matches. Team Coach Davinder Kalyan, District Coach Daljit Singh, District Trainer Kuldeep Dhami, Junior Coach Daljit Dhiman, Pankaj Pinka, and Dinesh Sharma also lauded the players.
