Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Jan.23 : Under the direction of Punjab Congress High Command and former Cabinet Minister Sundar Sham Arora, a huge protest was organized today in the Assembly Hoshiarpur. This protest was led by former District President Dr. Kuldeep Nanda and Urban President Navpreet Rehal.
The protesters, carrying placards in their hands, demanded resignation from Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Congress workers submitted a memorandum addressed to the President at the District Magistrate’s office inside the Mini Secretariat. In the memorandum, the workers strongly criticized the policies of the Central Government and demanded his immediate resignation.
Many prominent leaders and workers of the party were present on this occasion, including Dr. Kuldeep Nanda (former district president), Navpreet Rehal (urban president), Balwinder Bhatti (rural president), councilor Ashok Mehra, Youth Congress president Rishu Adia, Shravan Singh, Rajneesh Tandon, INTUC president Ashwani Sharma, Gurdeep Katoch Bittu, Captain Karamchand, Narveer Nandi, Kuldeep Arora, Mohan Lal Pehalwan, Harish Anand, Sodhi Ram, councilor Jaswinder Pal, councilor Balwinder Kaur, Suresh Kumar, Surinder Bittan, Kaka Parashar, Jagir Singh, Darshan Laddar, Gopal Verma, Rahul Gopal, Lucky, Sandeep Sharma, Master Jai Ram, Ranjit Begumpur and Santosh Kumari.
Through this demonstration, Congress workers gave the message that their voice should reach the government and their demands cannot be ignored. This demonstration also shows the activism of the internal organization and workers of the Congress party, who can plan even more vigorous movements in the coming days.
This demonstration was an attempt to raise the voice of the Congress against the one-sided political environment, and many issues were discussed during this movement. Congress workers made it clear that their struggle will continue until their demands are resolved.
