Chandigarh/Daljeet Ajnoha/Sept.2 : Punjab is battling one of the toughest flood situations in recent times as heavy rainfall and overflowing rivers have caused devastation across several districts. In this time of crisis, the Indian Army has stepped forward, conducting large-scale rescue and relief operations in the affected regions, ensuring the safety of stranded people and providing essential aid.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while keeping a close watch on the situation, held a detailed telephonic conversation with the Chief Minister of Punjab regarding the flood scenario. The Prime Minister assured that the Centre stands firmly with the people of Punjab and will extend every possible assistance to support rescue and rehabilitation efforts.
Vikramaditya Singh,Sangathan Mantri, FANS ( Forum for Awareness of National Security) who has been consistently monitoring the situation on the ground, lauded the commitment and dedication of the Indian Army and relief teams. He said, “In times of natural disasters, the Army once again proves why it is called the pride of India. Even amidst floods and adverse conditions, our soldiers are working day and night to save lives. The people of Punjab will never forget their service.”
Vikkramaditya Singh further emphasized that such testing times show the strength of unity, compassion, and discipline. He also appealed to the people of Punjab to cooperate with relief agencies and maintain courage in this hour of difficulty.
