Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Jan.7 : In protest against the Punjab government registering police cases against journalists, RTI activists, and social media users linked to Bathinda and Ludhiana, the journalist community of Mahilpur, with support from public organizations and other groups, held a strong demonstration. The massive anger march began from the Mahilpur city police station and proceeded to the main chowk amid anti-Punjab government slogans.Speakers, including journalists and leaders from various organizations, condemned the AAP government for filing cases against journalists and RTI activists to suppress the voice of truth. They asserted that the voice of truth cannot be silenced. Journalists from Mahilpur, Saila Khurd, and Garhshankar, along with leaders from local social, public, and employee organizations, shared their views.During the event, a memorandum addressed to the Punjab Chief Minister was submitted to Naib Tehsildar Ranvir Singh.
